A Brief History of SCS
On 21 April 2004, Cambridge Child Development Surabaya situated at Jl. Raya Satelit Indah AN-2 started. It was open for Toddlers until K1. From its beginnings, CCDC was a franchise from Singapore following the Singaporean curriculum. It originally accommodated preschool and kindergarten classes using foreign languages both in English and Chinese.
In July of 2007, CCDC moved to a bigger building located at Jl. Raya Satelit Indah CN-1 Surabaya. While pioneering pupils moved on to primary level, it birthed into the opening of the new Cambridge International School. However in 2009 when the new government regulation prohibited the use of ‘international’ in naming an existing school, Surabaya Cambridge School carried on the Cambridge curriculum.
In July 2011, a new school building was built at the center of Perumahan Alam Galaxy, an attractive subdivision. The status that it retains today remained until July 2013 when the secondary level was opened. From then onwards, high school level was officially opened in 2016.
